PROTECTION OF CHILD RIGHTS POLICY

The members and staff of Ideas for Life Trust (IFLT) understand that States Parties shall protect the child from all forms of physical or mental violence, injury or abuse, neglect, maltreatment or exploitation, including sexual abuse.

(UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (1989), Article 19)

“Ideas for Life Trust (IFLT)” is committed toward the protection of children. It undertakes efforts and provisions to protect children, on the part its members and staff. This Child protection policy is implementation since January 2010, with means to protect children from abuse, and role and responsibilities of the members and staff.

IFLT further ensures the organizational processes and procedures which underpin the policy are in place, are working effectively and are monitored and reviewed.

IFLT ensures that members and staff minimize all kinds of risks to children. It further ensures that action is taken to support and protect children where concerns arise regarding the moral, emotional, social and physical wellbeing associated with children.

IFLT further ensures that the child protection process are guided by the principle of ‘best interest of the child’

All Ideas for Life Trust members/staff/partners/associates/trainees must abide by this Child Protection Policy.
